McCamley has invented a new type vertical-axis turbine with an innovative design. The McCamley MT01 Mk2 prototype has been installed at Keele University (UK). The turbine can operate with unsteady more turbulent gusts typical for urban environments, what is crucial it is also a self-starting wind turbine. Among the advantages are the facts that the turbine is easy to construct, and to install on pretty much any roof both in urban and rural areas.
