“Touch the Train Window” is the brand new development from the Japanese audio-visual group Salad in the augmented reality trends. It takes boredom out of road trips and allows you to use your imagination to play with your environment. The AR window concept features a Kinect, open Frameworks, an , a projector, and a GPS module to enable the user to add things to the scene going by: one could add birds, horses and airplanes that move outside the window. The user can even manipulate the objects, making them closer or farther away. New about this project is that it has the added complexity of joining images with a transparent background that still allows you to see a real environment in motion. This technology might also work on plane and car windows just as it works on a train window.
