Researchers of the Rambam Medical Center and Technion-Israel Institute of Technology have developed a new skin-cell technique that restores damaged heart muscles. While the technique is already well known, this skin-cell procedure repairs broken hearts by turning skin stem cells into healthy heart muscle cells. This advancement in the medical field divulges opportunities for those who struggle with heart failure, the skin-cell technique may take up near a decade before trials may be carried out on humans.
