SMART Room System Increases Productivity And Efficiency Of Any Meeting (+VIDEO)

The SMART Room System presented at the Enterprise Connect Conference is a joint project of the SMART Technologies and Microsoft. This is a turnkey solution for meeting rooms that simplifies the collaboration experience for both virtual and face-to-face participants and provides seamless online collaboration through sharing of real-time video, voice and data. This innovative teleconferencing system uses SMART’s interactive whiteboard technology to place data collaboration to the forefront and thus helps raise productivity and organizational flexibility. The SMART Room System is meant for room sizes ranging from 100 ft2 to 300 ft2 for 2 to 16 participants. According to Microsoft the start-up time for an active session with full access to audio, video and presentation data is reduced to a single click. The SMART Room System features one or several SMART Board interactive displays, an ultra wide-angle, high definition camera offering 109-degree field of view, customized speakers and microphones along with an extra-large room control console with an 11.6″ (29.5 cm) display. The high definition video conferencing camera enables remote participants to see the whole room without the need for pan/tilt/zoom functionality. The crystal-clear 3D audio is provided due to the echo-cancelling table microphones and speakers. Just install and configure the SMART Room System and then connect to Microsoft Lync. The 65″interactive displays utilize SMART’s proprietary touch and camera technology, which enables participants to switch seamlessly between writing with a pen and erasing with the palm. After the session has ended, meeting notes will be captured and emailed to all participants.
