You might have already read in 2010 about a new technology that would allow growing vegetables in a vending machine contraption without any sunlight. The machine could produce 60 heads of lettuce per day with 40 watt fluorescent lighting. Hyundai decided to use this technology and began working on a design for a much healthier, more diverse and better machine for people to grow a high tech vegetable garden right in their homes. The Nano Garden concept is a compact machine utilizing hydroponics (the process in which plants are grown using a mineral nutrient solution instead of soil) and built in LED lighting. In case you need to water your plants or they need more nutrients, special sensors will alert you. The most important thing about the vegetable indoor garden is that you’ll be able to grow different purely organic vegetables free from fertilizers and pesticides at home.
