Targeted Ads On…Billboards. From GM.

GM, personalized billboard ads
General Motors has applied for a patent according to which their highway billboards will show ads relevant to the driver. That would be done through data collected from their OnStar in-vehicle system. GM and OnStar emphasized the billboards are to collect information regarding the destination only, when inputted by the driver. This info will be treated as anonymous and deleted from the ad server immediately after.
