William Powell develops his augmented reality glasses, which are actually a headset displaying subtitles of conversations spoken in foreign languages. The entire translation setup made from simple parts anyone can buy: two Raspberry Pi running Debian Squeeze, Vuzix 1200 Star, Jawbone Mic, headset mic, TV, iPhone, iPad and Asus Transformer. If the language translation software is solid, and this technology becomes mainstream all the language barriers will pretty much vanish as the headset is said to translate 37 different languages!
