Researchers from the University of Alberta have created the ‘Domino’ technology that fits into a tiny chip and can execute the precise genetic tests previously done only at the most advanced laboratories. The deeply embedded polymerase chain reaction technology permits the miniature chip to amplify and identify targeted sequences of DNA. There are 20 gel posts inside the miniscule framework of the ‘Domino’ chip capable of verifying the sequences of DNA with just a single drop of blood. That’s the innovation in a medical field!
