There’s no need any more in telepresence devices, since Double, a mix of an iPad with a Segway, has been developed. The robot is powered by a battery, ensuring eight hours of power, and is remotely controlled with an app on your iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch or desktop browser from any place in the world. The Double features a stand that holds the iPad in place, it can be raised up to five feet, enabling its user to have tete-a-tete conversations with the people at the teleconference site. At present the striking robot is sold out, still it will retail in 2013at a price $1,999.
