The winner of 2012 Millennium Yacht Design Awards hospital boat concept by Marino Alfani looks like a catamaran and comes close to the shore to provide instant medical aid to patients. The hospital boat could cure up to 50 patients daily in fully equipped medical, operation, lab and other facilities. The boat houses around twenty people of crew, doctors and nurses. The concept boat also has a helipad and an ambulance garage to bring patients to and from the floating hospital. The boat hospital would reach 10 knots speed.
