Okan Akgöl has come up with a concept device, Motherspoon, designed as part of Electrolux design challenge to help you experience the unique taste of your mother’s meals, to get back to childhood and feel the same emotions. This remarkable device enables you to duplicate the exact recipe that your mom’s using: it collects detailed information with its sensors and stores all the data to “Electrolux Motherspoon” internet program, to be synced later with your own Motherspoon. These recipes also can be shared with other people, you can download each meal you’d like to taste or you’ve missed a lot to your Motherspoon. The information will be transmitted to the stand projection touchscreen, where you can watch all the details and even listen to the recipe with your mother’s voice. Motherspoon consists of two main parts: a multi-functional spoon and a spoon stand, featuring internet connection, information storage, a projection touchscreen (front side is a touch screen, where videos or images can be looked through, while the back side provides those images with sound). The spoon slot is made from metal, there’s a magnetic field to keep the spoon stands still. The device uses usual measurement like one glass of water, one pinch of salt or a dash of pepper.
